The ability to sensitively connect modern design and classical architectural language of the past times is a highly valued art. In case of the Grand hotel Kempinski High Tatras (former name Grandhotel Hviezdoslav) placed in the magical scenery of Štrbské pleso it was successfully done. At the turn of the first two decades of the 20th century the architect connected the original romantic Joseph’s villa form the end of the Belle Epoque, often visited by aristocracy, to the second villa in the style of ending Secession.
Subsequently, the building of Hviezdoslav was built up in style of the Czeschoslovak rondokubism. The Munich studio of architects Černý + Architekten created a plan that was used for the reconstruction, started four years agon, of the ruined hotel complex in order to get the most from the unique spirit of the original buildings and complement them with luxurious modern design.
The reconstruction was finisehd in the spring of 2009, when the Kempinski High Tatras continued the famous history of hotels on Štrbské pleso and welcomed the first visitors. A significant role in the reconstruction of the Hotel Kempinski High Tatras played the supplier of windows, the company Eurolux, s. r. o. Košice, who took advantage of the unique features of the completely concealed window fittings MACO INVISIBLE. Due to the importance attached to the individual architectural design details, the fitting MACO INVISIBLE was practically the only choice, because his greatest strength is the ability to fully show all aesthetic details of the window and it also meets requirements for high safety and thermal insulation," Peter Petrovka, the Eurolux company owner, and Ferdinand Horváth, the company director, explain their choice of fitting supplier.
They both are very satisfied with the window fitting, because “The fitting MACO INVISIBLE allows the production of replicas of historical windows without having to be in conflict with the historical design of the original handles and decorative fittings on different types of windows.” When using a concealed window fitting MACO INVISIBLE only the windows handle remains on the closed window when viewed from the interior and the entire window looks very harmonically and, thanks to the intact, clean lines of window profile, also extremely elegant.
Hidden window fitting is also used where is not enough room on the windows frames to place the classical window wing hinges. The present architecture places increasing demands on the aesthetic solution every detail. MACO go towards to this trend just with the concealed window fittings INVISIBLE.
